In 2019, he undertook a transformative relocation from the bustling metropolis of Tokyo to the tranquil Nasu Highlands. This immersion in a serene, natural environment allows Kaneko to intimately engage with the elemental processes of creation and dissolution—a theme that permeates his artistic oeuvre. His work is a profound exploration of the interplay between transient imagery and deep-seated corporeal and cognitive understanding, reflecting a meticulous process of artistic evolution and introspection.
